Dates: Now – Dec. 31, 2018 Location: Sanya
China’s best surf beaches offer ideal conditions for learning to board ride with an Olympic star in the making. Surfing makes its Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, and going for gold at the inaugural competition will be rising Chinese star and Olympic hopeful, Xinrui Wang.
In the lead up to the main event, Xinrui will train regularly in Sanya, home to China’s best breaks. While there, she will make time in her hectic schedule to provide one-on-one lessons for the most privileged guests of Rosewood Sanya. Depending on the time of year and wave and weather conditions, lessons will be at either Houhai Bay or Riyue Bay.
Both boast long crescents of golden sand, clean and consistent surf year round, and are relatively crowd-free, making them ideal for surfers of all levels. First timers can learn how to longboard surf in accessible swells, and the more experienced can hone their technique with personal instruction from a pro.
With a mix of useful theory and practical instruction personalized to a guest’s proficiency, even novices will be hanging ten in no time. Price from CNY 45,888 per package excluding room charges and taxes. For reservations, please email sanya.reservations@rosewoodhotels.com.
