Small rental companies will be slightly cheaper, but alternatively pose greater risks that need to be duly considered.

How to extend the return date:
During Chinese New Year, most rental companies have limited availability. Requests for rental extensions must be made at least one day or even several days prior through the customer hotline and must be confirmed by customer service personnel before extension procedures may be conducted.

Monthly rentals:
May be negotiated with the rental company. Generally speaking, the longer you rent the car, the bigger the discount.

Pickup and return times:
Due to different flight times, many travelers may land or depart at midnight and need to pickup or return cars right away. Most rental companies offer 24-hour pickup and return services. You may communicate your needs to the company ahead of time.

How to return vehicles early:
According to rental agreements, customers usually need to contact the rental company 6 hours in advance to modify their rental agreement. Rental charges will be refunded if fees have been modified.

Calculating rental time:
From the time of pickup, any time under 24 hours counts as one day, 48 hours counts as two, and so on. Exceeding the original rental time by 4 hours counts as half a day, and 4-24 hours counts as one day.

How to cancel reservations:
Before payments are made, customer may call the company 6 hours before pickup time to cancel the reservation. If prepayment is required, the order may be canceled before payment is made. After prepayment has been made, the prepaid sum will be deemed a fine in case of breach of contract and will not be refunded.
