Every place on Hainan’s east coast is full of well preserved cultural and historical sites, including the Red Detachment of Women memorial, the ancestral home of Song Qingling (Rosemonde Soong,1893-1981, wife of Sun Yat-sen), and lots of South Seas influenced architecture such as the Qilou buildings.
